Community Groups or Community Family

When Jim and I moved here about 6 years ago, the church was launching out new community groups and was looking for leaders. Jim and I jumped right in – we opened up our home and became Community Group Leaders. We had about 6 or 7 couples that started the study with us. We really became family. Here we are 6 years later; many of the same couples have now moved on into other groups or even have become Community Group Leaders themselves.

But what stood out to me just recently, was when we were inviting family members to our daughter, Kodie’s graduation, one family absolutely stood out. It was one of those families who have been invited to everything … and we have gone through the birth of their babies and realized what Community Group was to us – FAMILY!

You too need to invest your time into a community group or what I would rather call it Community Family!
