From a Grateful Heart...

I just had to share how blessed I am to work and attend a church that knows the true meaning of community. Last week my son-in-law’s friend (actually he was like a brother) passed away. So as plans started to get in place they found out that the church they attended did not hold funerals. This was very confusing to my son-in-law so he called Bruce and asked if Oasis Pines would allow them to hold the funeral at Pines. Bruce called Pastor Brown who put him in touch with John Adams. They left a message on Saturday and John responded back in a timely manner. My daughter and son-in-law said that everyone was so caring and helpful.
The funeral was beautiful and then they had a fellowship time in Kona afterwards. My daughter said everyone kept saying to tell Bruce and I thank you and she said she would but she responded to them that she felt that the church would have been this gracious without our connection. I love the fact that my daughter and her husband were treated so kindly that she felt as if she was a part of Oasis Pines. I want to thank all that were involved – I know that it is no small undertaking to put on such an event. I truly believe that Oasis cares about and does community well and that starts from the top. So Pastor Guy, thank you for being such a great Senior pastor that sees the importance in growing God’s kingdom through community. I know that this made a huge inpact on my son-in-law and many of his friends. Love you all!
