In 2009 Oasis Church North Miami will go beyond Sunday!
In 2008 we established a warm, welcoming, weekly time of worship in newly remodeled buildings.
In 2009 we’ll work to extend our ministry by emphasizing groups that meet during the week, enhancing our prayer and care efforts, celebrating the personal ministries engaged by individuals in our church, and finding ways to bless the people of North Miami and Dade County.
That was the topic of our teaching time yesterday. Our strategy isn’t earth shattering.
We will have:
- 4 Teams (1 new)
- 4 Groups (3 new)
- 4 Big Events
The teams make Sunday morning happen.
The groups help us develop relationships and move beyond Sunday.
The big events will help us bless and include our neighbors in Dade County. Each of our groups and teams is being challenged to own 1 big event next year. When they decide what God is leading them to do the rest of our church will get involved.
Around 30 people inquired about participating in one of our groups and teams. I’m thankful for our leaders and those already serving. Just today I spoke to a couple that wants to start a new Community Group!
