Jacksonville Mission Trip 1

Here’s an update from Rose Ann Doty who went with a team to Jacksonville this past weekend to help with the last preview service before the launch of Oasis Church N. Florida. Be in prayer for the trip on Feb 7-8 when a second team will help with the launch service.

On Saturday morning at 6 am we started our adventure to Jacksonville. The men did an outstanding job driving the bus and all 7 of us bonded and had some fun along the way.

We arrived safely in Jacksonville meeting up with Jonathan and Jeremy Higdon for lunch and the agenda for the weekend.

We were all excited and anxious to get started with our mission. We had a plan and we were off to work. Our 1st mission was to pass out invitation cards and water at a very busy intersection. We met some very interested people and were received quite well.

Our 2nd endeavor was to offer free coffee at a Starbucks and movie passes along with our invitation cards to join us at our new Jacksonville church.

We also had some of our team working the shopping center and passing out invitation cards for church in a good many of the stores.

This was a very successful mission, but I must say it got very exciting on Sunday morning when we saw a number of the people from our endeavor show up for church.
God is good and many seeds were planted.

Jeremy and his team have done an outstanding job in setting up the movie theater for church, Sunday school and a nursery. It looks very inviting and warm.
