Jobs, Cake, and Pastor Jeremy!

This past weekend at NoMi was fun!

The cool weather put everyone in great spirits. It was evident that we were there to worship and enjoy our church family.

There was some great news from Doug who got a job last week. Roy helped him get connected at his place of work. You may not know those two guys, but they got to know eachother at Oasis Church NoMi and God used Roy to bless Doug. I’m proud our church is growing together as we grow in Christ.

Everyone was excited that Pastor Jeremy is going to be in town teaching next week at North Miami. We’re looking forward to the update on the Oasis Church he is planting in North Florida.

My own morning at NoMi was characterized by prayer and great conversations with our team leaders. I also felt blessed to be in a church without any DRAMA. There seems to be drama in so many churches these days. We have no drama because we have a simple Agenda. Worship Jesus, Enjoy Community with His people, and Go on Mission for Him. We also keep other agendas out.

It is fun to see some of our guests become regulars, some of our regulars plug in, and fresh new faces each week. I’m still learning names. I’ll bet you are too!

This weekend ended on a sweet note as two of our ladies prepared a special birthday celebration for Patty. Maybe we should have cake every week? In any case, happy birthday Patty!
