Meet the Johnsons

Oasis NoMi is about to be blessed with another Oasis Group launching on March 17th! This will make three Oasis Groups from our young campus. The couple who has stepped up to lead this group is Troy and Stacy Johnson. We’ll introduce Troy and Stacy this Sunday, but you can learn a bit more about them below.
For those who don’t know you guys, tell us about yourselves:
We have been married for five great years. Stacy is originally from Midland, TX and Troy hails from Flint, MI. We met in West Texas and then spent several years in Chicago before moving to sunny Miami. We have a daughter (Rowan – 3 yrs) and a son (Cade – 7 months), who keep us busy! When we’re not chasing the kids, Stacy likes to go on long runs and Troy is a business book junkie.
What led you and Stacy to want to start a group?
We are very excited about starting a new community group for the Oasis NoMi campus. We felt that there was a need for the type of group that God had put on our hearts. We felt the call to “move beyond Sundays” and to both challenge and nurture ourselves and others in a group of like-minded couples. All of us desire to love God and each other more deeply, and we want this group to facilitate that growth in all of us.
What do you hope will happen in this group?
We are really hoping and praying that God will not only use this group to facilitate our relationships with Him, but we really want the group to be a safety net for each other. As a couple with young children in a city without our family, we know how hard it can be to reach out to others for help when you are in need. We are looking for the kind of people that will be able to ask for help but will also be willing to lend a hand to help others. If we can have genuine relationships and learn to love God and each other more I think we will be very successful!
To join this group or one of the two other groups meeting in the North Miami area just write “Oasis Group” on your Connection Card on Sunday morning.

Good day to all.
I,am excited for Troy and Stacy and their beautiful Children
I know Troy because i,am on the prayer and care team and it
was a pleasure to meet his beautiful wife.
When Troy shared with the group a few weeks ago
what he and his wife wanted to start i was so happy for them.
This type of group is so nessasary especially when you
have no family around you. I often think of Abraham and Sara
when the Lord God called him away from his comfrort zone
to go in to the unknown and all that was asked of Abraham
was to trust in the Lord God. And now let us take a closer look at the blessings of Abrahams obedience and the blessings that was left to us because of Abrahams obedience. And now Troy and Stacy
have left their family so we now at Oasis could and should become their family . To Troy and Stacy and their beautiful children
may you be used by the Lord Jesus Christ mightly
and may the cross be the message to share with others.
I will be praying for you. Your Sisiter in Jesus Christ
our Lord and Savior. Cathy Figallo
