NoMi's First Couples Fellowship

Despite the torrential rains that night, eight of us gathered at the Hakimian parsonage for food and fellowship. All in attendance were so glad to be together that we bypassed ice breakers and got straight to eating and socializing. Before the night was over,w e sat around the living room as Bryan and Becki Sprouse shared their relationship story. Their openness to share what God had taken them through made other couples feel comfortable to briefly share a part of their story, ups and downs.

A common appreciation for where they are at and heading as couples in Christ’s hands echoed throughout the night. All this over the wonderful finger foods provided by KidsWorld, who also provided childcare for this first meeting. After a time of prayer, we somehow managed to tear ourselves apart from each other and say goodnight. Everyone left encouraged, anticipating our next time of fellowship hosted by the Sprouses on March 12 at 7 p.m.
