Oatmeal Alarm

Bible for Breakfast this morning was very cool. We decided to wake up the whole neighborhood with our fire alarm. FYI, as a strategy to get random people to your Bible Study it falls short.
We confirmed that one of our smoke detectors works, but that the fire alarm isn’t easily turned off. A circuit breaker finally did the job. We’ll figure out the right way to do it some other time when it isn’t actually going off at 6:30 am!
As a group the men read and discussed Ephesians chapter 1. Paul constantly affirms who God is, what he did through Christ Jesus, and who we are in Christ. I’ve recently been reminded several times how important it is to affirm who we are in Christ and to live out of that new life as opposed to living out of our old life.
The highlight of the morning was Roy’s oatmeal. Sure, he made eggs and ham. There was fruit and bagels, but the Oatmeal was the ticket. A special thanks to Roy, Emily, and their son for being there early making sure we had an amazing catered breakfast.
Thanks to the guys who rolled out of bed early to study with us!

It was a good time! That oatmeal was worth the trip.
