Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection Oct. 24 - November 15!

This weekend we will begin our Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Collection in KidsWorld. The collection will continue until November 15. If you haven’t heard of Operation Christmas Child before, then you’ve been missing a blessing in your life! Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped and delivered across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.

This week, in their KidsWorld classroom, your child will receive a Operation Christmas Child brochure explaining the project and how to pack a shoebox. Empty shoeboxes are also available to the first 200 kids. We hope your family will take this opportunity to teach your child about giving to others and about sharing Christ with those who have yet to hear about salvation. Filling a shoebox is simple to do and your child can be an active participant in picking out what the child receiving the shoebox might like. You are able to choose the age range of the child receiving the gift and the gender. Last year, our KidsWorld families filled over 150 boxes that went to India and Ghana. Reports from Operation Christmas Child staff tell us that for every 10 boxes that are delivered, they are seeing 3 children come to Christ. That’s over 45 children who now have a personal Savior thanks to our time and gifts!! Can you think of a better investment of your time and money??

We can’t wait to see how many children Oasis Church can reach this year! When you’ve filled your box, simply drop it by any KidsWorld classroom. The collection will run through Sunday, November 15! Also, feel free to invite family members and friends to fill boxes also. The more the better!
