Reaching the Homeless in Downtown Miami

This past Friday the T.O.U.C.H. Project was in full swing again at Oasis Church. God has truly blessed this outreach program and it has been more than evident over the past two months. We currently go to downtown Miami every 2nd Friday. The Lord has allowed us to consistenly have warm food to feed 100-130 homeless persons in the downtown Miami area. Thanks to the generous donations of a few people we’ve been able to not only feed these brothers and sisters in Christ, but also give them clothes, shoes, socks, hygiene products and more.

God truly has His hand in the middle of this great outreach ministry and I pray that as we continue to minister to the physical needs of His people, we will be able to nurture, teach and grow their spiritual needs as well.

This past Friday we had a gentleman that we prayed with that truly touched my heart as he ministered to us. He asked us to never forget that, “though people here on the streets may not say thank you for what you do, or even show appreciation…don’t stop doing what your doing. God sees, I appreciate it and I am thankful for you all.” With such touching words the Spirit of the Lord just confirmed to myself, and the other volunteers, that when we do what we do as unto the Lord, HE will reward us for what we do.
