Saturday Night Update

Hey you’al, WOW ... tonight’s message was powerful, all about receiving (through faith), rejoicing (with hope), and releasing (with love), in Bud McCord’s “The Satisfying Live”. This new six series study will have you journey into the final words of Jesus recorded in John 15.

Besides the very inspiring message, the highlights of my evening as Host Pastor was the acknowledgement of any graduating students, and the more than 15 people who came up to me after service, and said “that they have been Christians for more that 8 years, or 10 years, or 12 years and even 15 years”, and that “tonight’s message spoke to them, personally in a way that simply made sense.” Having a moment-by-moment relationship with our Father is so satisfying, along with knowing that he who has Jesus lacks nothing to live the Christian life.

Attendance totaled 150. Staring off with four worship songs followed by our welcome and an excellent short Father’s Day Tribute video. Pastor Bud delivered tonight’s message, and then announcement and closing prayer.

Tonight’s connection cards have many prayer requests centered around health and protection, following Jesus’ way, family, upcoming exams, safety for family, peace with the Lord, and friends. Thanks was given to Jesus for answering prayers, for patience, and for finding a lost one after 24 years.

Folks also used their cards to sign up for Discovery Oasis, learning more about community groups, and bible study.

One of our members prayed to establish a personal relationship with Christ, another indicated they were renewing their commitment to Christ, and still another asked for information on how to begin a relationship with Christ. One of our first time visitors prayer to establish a personal relationship with Christ as a result of tonight’s message. PTL – I am so excited to be able to follow up with them in the coming weeks.
