Shoeboxes Full of Love

On Wednesday me, Paula, Blanca and Blanca’s daughter, Susie, had the pleasure of transporting our church’s 150 gift filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to the local relay center in Hollywood. From there, the boxes will be heading to Atlanta where they will be inspected, crated, and then shipped oversees to needy children around the world. It is such a blessing to serve at Oasis Church! We have the best, most giving congregation. To think that even in this down economy, we were able to give 150 shoeboxes is amazing. Isn’t God awesome? He knows exactly which boy or girl will be blessed with each box. To us it is a small gesture, to them, it can be life changing as they are given a precious gift and are introduced to Jesus Christ through literature and the loving Samaritan’s Purse volunteers who deliver the boxes.
