Spring Tea and Upcoming Women's Ministry Events

This past Saturday we had 140 Oasis women come together at our Pines campus for our Spring Tea.

What a great time for us to celebrate our friendship and spend some time together. Eighteen women brought their dishes from home and set beautiful tables, we had a catered Tea and lots of fun.

Myria Morgan and her mentee, Sophie Kennedy, made some beautiful centerpieces in terracotta pots to represent our “vessels of clay” and Emily Hughes, Chris’ wife, brought us a beautiful lesson about not comparing ourselves to others but realizing that we are good enough because of God and his presence in our lives. We previewed the promotional video for our Women of Faith Conference, coming up on November 7-8, 2008 and announced that we would begin registration in late June. The deposit will be $65 and we will include a catered luncheon. The total price is yet to be decided but should be announced very soon!

We also had a mentor/mentee testimony to announce our Woman to Woman mentoring program and invited all women that are interested in attending our next Orientation Coffee on Sunday, May 18 from 3:00-5:30 p.m. Please arrive promptly, as the doors will close at 3:30. Those who sign up to become a mentor or mentee must also commit to attend the KickOff Night, Wednesday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m. to meet your mentor/mentee and receive a short training session to get you off to a great start! We are so blessed to have such committed women to serve on our Women’s Ministry Team and I wanted you to see them, so you can thank them when you see them around our campuses. Emily, our speaker, is also included in this shot!
