Sunday Night of Worship Update

For what started off as almost a no-show, we ended up with 56 including the team tonight on the “English” side.

The praise and worship time was great tonight, though we did have some glitches with keeping up with the words on the screens.

Bud’s message was very powerful and I could see quite a few of those present tonight really relating to it….they were drawn in and attentive…. When Bud asked for the interactive action of placing hands on their hearts and reciting, “Jesus, you are welcome here”, they really did participate…..funny how even though it was a video, it was as if he were there preaching live…. Awesome!.... so much for those that may think video venues do not work!

As I closed out the service, I invited anyone interested to stay after for the small group discussion following the 20 minute video by Bud. I was not sure we would get any takers, but did challenge them to stay assuring them that they would get so much more from the message by sacrificing an extra 45 minutes. Was I pleasantly surprised! We had 8 that stayed in addition to myself and Kim! And better yet, while the first question did not result in much interactive/responsive dialogue, they really did get into the rest of the questions. WOW!

They thanked us for having this option open and said that they appreciated the idea of it being right after service….I dare say they will be sad to see it only go 6 weeks…. I explained that part of the purpose for having it follow the service was to make it easy, and available….to show what a community group is like….a small group of christians gathering to fellowship, explore God’s word further and support one another….Again I say….WOW!

I pray that each of your nights have positive results and that your time in small groups is rewarding.
