Surge went to Deck The Halls at His House Children's Home

It’s already been over a week but I need to share this with you…

The weekend of Thanksgiving while many were hitting the mall or their favorite store, a group of teens headed to a special place: His House Children Home. Thirteen teens went to decorate two cottages to get them ready for Christmas. Of course, they are not the only ones that made it possible. Some teens donated $43 to buy materials. Others donated Christmas lights, ornaments, two Christmas trees and even some parents and their teen donated some scrumptious food for an extraordinary night!

This is what His House said after their visit:

“Hello Deck the Halls team:

We wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for joining us in bringing Christmas cheer to His kids! This was a great blessing to all the children and house parents. The kids are still talking about it!

On a daily basis we have an opportunity to impact the lives of the children in our care with the love of Christ. On this special day as we kicked off the Christmas season it was wonderful to see how children’s hearts where transformed when experiencing the love of so many friends that took the time to share a word of encouragement or simply a hug as they decorated the homes and chapel. We certainly felt the love of Christ reflected thru all you did.
