Theft, Theft, Theft, Theft

Oasis Church has taken a beating recently!
Pines Campus suffered a theft by a community service worker last week. Most of the stuff he took was returned.
Hollywood Campus suffered the theft and vandalism of an exterior AC Unit last month.
Just last week North Miami Campus suffered two break-ins where the KidsWorld classrooms were cleaned out of all electronic equipment.
How should we feel about this?
Each theft means a minimum of $1,000 in insurance deductibles and countless hours of time dealing with the problem. Future insurance premiums will rise. New and costly security measures will have to be taken.
I must say that I am personally watching members of our team cope with these thefts in different ways. Honestly, we’re only human. We tend to try to explain, avoid, prevent, and replace. While we do these things we sometimes vent our frustration.
We are only human! Even when we say out loud…
Father forgive them for they know not what they do.
We may be remembering the Psalm of King David…
Let burning coals fall upon them; may they be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, never to rise.
In the end, we will encourage one-another to let the Holy Spirit dictate our actions to individuals who hurt us in the specific instance when we are confronted with those perpetrators. In the meantime we install more alarms, bars, and security cameras.
