What is Baby Dedication?
Baby dedication is a ceremony where parents bring their child before the Lord to thank Him for that child and to ask wisdom in raising that child to love God and honor Him. Child Targeted – We offer classes for children from birth up through 5th grade. Each class is themed to reflect age appropriate interests of the children and offers a variety of resources for your child’s stage of development.
Safe – We make great effort to ensure your child’s safety. All classroom teachers and assistants are professing Christians who have undergone a Federal Background Check. We staff each room with a minimum of two people at all times and have monitored video cameras in all classrooms. Our student to teacher ratios are well below state maximums in all classrooms.
Relevant – In each classroom from preschool – 5th grade, students have elements of music, large group bible teaching and small group reflection. All of our bible lessons are taught by DVD & facilitated by a teacher. Using DVD lessons allows us to offer children the most cutting edge, visual lessons about biblical truth. Our teachers then interact with smaller groups of children to help them apply the message to their personal life. We involve parents in what their children are learning by sending home lesson guides weekly and Family Time devotion packs at the beginning of each new series. Children who attend the preschool-KG class also have an element of art in their lessons and they are provided with playtime and snacktime.
Christ Focused – We use the Empowering Kids Curriculum which can be previewed at Empoweringkids.net . This curriculum is amazing. It allows students of all ages to focus on the same theme at the same time. This makes family follow up much easier. The Empowering Kids curriculum is engaging to the kids and is Christ Focused by teaching them powerful principals of the bible through fun themes that kids love such as flying, extreme sports, sailing, etc. It does this through the format of Learn It! And Live It! Teaching them what the bible says and then what that means to them – what’s the key/what’s it to me?
Relational – In each class we have many trained and loving teachers and assistant teachers. In all our rooms we start out each class by giving kids the time to interact with their friends while playing games and to bond with their teachers, who join in the action. We aim to do more than just teach material, but to impact kids lives by loving them and being great representatives of Christ to them.
Fun – We strive to make every part of our classes engaging from the games and toys when they enter, to the multi-media lesson presentation, great singable music, and relational small group time. We think your child will think of our church as their second home!
KidsWorld Class Schedule – Pines Campus:
Every night classes are offered for children ages birth – KG at 6:40 p.m. Wed., Thurs., and Sat. night classes are offered for 1st – 5th graders at 6:40 p.m.
Sundays – Classes are offered for children ages birth – 5th grade at all of our services: 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. (Classes open 15 minutes prior to the start of the service).
“Rooted” Discipleship Classes for Elementary (1st – 5th)
Monday and Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. – no registration required
Hollywood Campus:
Classes are offered for children ages birth – 5th grade at our 10 a.m. Sunday service.
North Miami Campus:
Classes are offered for children ages birth – 5th grade at our 11 a.m. Sunday service, and at 7 p.m. on Wednesday nights, during the adult bible study.
