For the Christian, community means being Christ to one another, sharing the fulness of His life with everyone we encounter.
We believe that Life was meant to be lived in the context of relationships. Jesus said that the Great Commandment is “to love one another”. Our community group ministry exists to provide a safe place where everyone knows your name and they care about you and what’s happening in your life.
John 17:23 — “I in them and you in me, all being perfected into one. Then the world will know that you sent me and will understand that you love them as much as you love me.”
As our church grows, it will become a big place! We want to make sure we maintain a sense of family and belonging. A small group will bring you into an authentic relationship with others where you can build lifetime friendships.
1 Corinthians 12:25 — “This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other equally.”
We all know that life brings times of hardships and challenges. We desire that all people have a place where they can find support and care as they journey with Christ.
Acts 5:42 — “Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.”
We all need to grow and mature in our relationship with Christ. A small group provides an atmosphere where members can grow together in their walk with Christ as they learn together, pray together and live out the Word of God together. In a small group setting, you can ask questions, participate in a discussion of the Bible and hear others share insights and experiences pertaining to the truth you are learning.
Luke 19:10 — “And I, the Son of Man, have come to seek and save those like him who are lost.”
Our passion is to see God transform lives. Our small groups can make a difference in the lives of many as they come together to serve, love and care for their unchurched friends. In a community group, your unbelieving friends can ask questions and express honest doubts without feeling put on the spot.
Come to GroupLink, which is offered twice a year. There you will learn more information about community groups, sign up to be a leader or sign up to be a host home. The next GroupLink is Saturday, January 26th, 2008.
