"Drop," Missions and Perfect Kid!

This summer is one I will never forget. It’s been incredible to see God working in so many areas.

Last week, Kids World had their annual "Tidal Wave" and the two nights drew over 300 children. It was an amazing weekend. Thanks to all our team of Volunteers and Staff who put on something that will be remembered by our children for years to come. Eternal decisions were made last week in our children’s lives.

"Drop" began last Saturday night for our young adults. Almost 100 came to the initial evening. I want one of the Team leaders for “drop” to share about that first night and give an explanation of what to expect if you are in your 20s and 30s and trying it out for the first time this Saturday night at 7:30.

Linda Ward is on our Oasis Team as "Communications Director" and I have asked her to give you an update below:

“Drop had an amazing launch night! We had food, live acoustic music, a special guest – fashion blogger Vannia Enriquez – and an awesome time. This Saturday, we’re excited to have author & Miami Heat chaplain, Che Scott, hanging with us. Drop is about having people to share life with. If you’re in your 20s and 30s, this night is for you.”

"Perfect Kid" concludes this weekend with a fantastic message at both campuses, with "The Best Thing you can do for your Kids!" This series has been one of the most powerful yet for Parents and families. Our team has done a great job. See you this weekend for the last installment of “Perfect Kid."

"Mission Store" Work Day is happening this Saturday. Exciting things are happening behind the scenes for our Haitian Thrift Store. If you want the inside scoop and to be a part of one of the largest outreaches in our history, I want to invite you to come out Saturday to our North Miami Campus to help, organize, sort and prepare the many donated items, as we continue to move toward the launch of this ministry. If you would like to ride the shuttle, it will leave the Pines campus at 9:15am.  The Work Day will be from 10-3pm and you can come for any part of it. You can get the directions to the campus if you plan to drive, here. If you need more info, you can contact Pastor James Brown at JamesB@visitoasis.org or just come show up on Saturday. We need some big-hearted people for Haiti that are willing to get a little sweaty. Saturday, 10am-3pm - North Miami Campus.

Registration is now open. Check out all the 4ll on the link below where Pastor Ricky shares all the details. There are limited spaces and only about 1/2 of them are open now. Since you are getting this after the first Deposit deadline, we will extend the deadline through this Sunday or until all spots are taken. This is going to be a great trip to Detroit. Please join Ricky and I as we take our first ever Missions trip to Detroit to serve our Partner church there.  Here’s the link to the 411. Click it. Password: detroit

That’s it for this week. See you this weekend.

P.S. To give the Lord’s Tithes and your offerings you can give right now ONLINE, fast, safe and secure, just like I do each week.
