Several months ago I read Psalm 86 and noted that I wanted to come back to it since it has so much on Prayer. It's probably nothing new to you and I. And it's not something which another passage or verse I have used prior, did not speak about. But if you are like me, I need a constant reminder of how important Prayer is, and how incredible it is that the God I have hears me, listens and answers me.
In the first 6 verses of Psalm 86 we see some important Prayer thoughts:
1. He Begs God. Have you ever begged God. ...I have! It's ok to beg! Verses 1-2.
2. David realizes Prayer is done at anytime and ALL the time! This is an ever evolving lesson I am learning. It feels so good to just launch into Prayer with the Lord wherever or whenever I am moved to. It's awkward sometimes but hey, that shouldn't stop me. Verse 3.
3. The Psalmist recognizes God is merciful, good and no one else is like Him. I am so glad I know a God who is full of mercy. God knows I need it a lot. Verse 4-6.
I love the way David petitions God in PASSION, and faith as he prays.
I hope today you are having a great day and God is so near and blessing you abundantly. But if you don't feel His presence, His blessings, His abundance, may i ask you to hold to this Chapter verses 1-6 and Pray anyway.
As David tells us, He listens and He answers! We have an awesome God.

P.S. There are others who need prayer today and they are needing others to step in when they just can't seem to do it alone. Would you pick out 10 or 12 people on our Prayer Digest today and pray for them? Beg God for His answer on their behalf.
