It's All About Christmas

THIS IS IT!!!!!! The BIGGEST CHRISTMAS WORK DAY OF OUR ENTIRE SEASON happens this Saturday from 9-3pm. Come early, come mid-morning or come at noon. Just come! (No experience necessary. There’s something for everyone.)

You can spend an hour or the entire day as we put out Light Displays, wrap trees and bushes, and do a ton of prep for our Christmas at the Oasis. There has been months of work in preparation behind the scenes. Now this week is our chance to bring it all out into the open!

The only way Oasis Church can continue to do "Christmas at the Oasis" each year and touch up to 50,000 people is if each of us does our part. This is too big for our staff and a few committed volunteers. If I sound passionate with a sense of urgency, well, it’s because I am and it is urgent.

This is our biggest outreach of the year and this Saturday will help us take a major step of final preparation for opening Night on December 4.

Bring yourself, bring your family, and let’s have some fun together. If you’re here early, there will be a continental breakfast. If you are here for lunch, there is lunch. Just be here! I hope to see you here at our PINES Campus this Saturday. North Miami Campus members, I hope you will join us as we work together as ONE church at Two Locations.

"BE LIKE JESUS" continues this weekend. Last week, I had the chance to speak to our North Miami Campus for the first message of the series. This weekend, I look forward to being back with our Pines Campus. This series is the perfect series to get ourselves calibrated and in the mindset of Christmas and what it’s all about. I love that we are reminding ourselves that the bottom line as believers is not our talk but our walk: "to be like Jesus." See you this weekend.

"Build-a-Bag of Hope for Haiti" - hundreds of bags are being filled already for our Haitian friends in Haiti. Our goal is to fill up to 1500 bags of "HOPE" to take to the Kids of Haiti that we are partnering with. Don't pick up one bag this weekend – pick up 5, 10 or 15. You’ll find them in the lobby. They are small and an inexpensive way to send Love and Hope to a child in Haiti. The bags will be handed out in Haiti by our team during the Haiti Christmas Mission Trip happening this December 14-20. You can even go with the more than 25 signed up and be part of the bag giveaway. Email Missions@VisitOasis.org for information or to sign up.

"Trees of HOPE" begins this weekend. You will not only see a video I’ve done to kick off this 3rd year of one of the greatest Mission Outreaches ever in our Oasis History, but you will receive a card to fill out and bring some hope to a financially hurting family this Christmas.

You might be thinking WOW, is this all Oasis does: GIVE?! You know what? That is what Christ modeled. Until I die, I want to become more and more like HIM and that means to continue to give away more and more that He puts in my hands and wallet: myself and my resources.

I will not stop until Oasis Church is known as a giving church. Giving to the hurting, lost and forgotten as we give to the LORD. That is Being LIKE Jesus! I hope you will catch the real spirit of Christmas this year. GIVE! Give like Jesus! Give more than you have ever given before not only in your time and serving but your resources. I am telling you I am more and more blessed as I have learned to give more and more. You can’t understand that until you do it.

Let’s "Be Like Jesus," Oasis! Give!

P.S. Speaking of giving… I want to remind you that if you have not yet worshiped this week by Giving back to God, you can do it online NOW, safe, secure and FAST! For all of you who give so faithfully, thanks because it’s only because of you that we can do such an incredible Outreach like Christmas at the Oasis and Bike for Haiti. I love you guys.
