More Ways than One to do a Prayer Circle

Hello Prayer Partners! We are done with our "Circle Maker" series but I still had some thoughts that Mark Batterson mentioned in his book.

What I love about prayer and talking to God is that there is no one way to do it, and no one place. We might all have our favorite place, time and even posture, but the reality is, it doesn’t matter how we pray or talk to Him. What matters is that we actually do so. Think about it, we don't just talk to those we love in one place, at one time, or in one posture. We can join them and relate to them in all kinds of situations even in play. It's no different than how we spend our time with God.

It's easy if you are a concrete thinker to draw a circle in a location and only pray there and to think this is the only way to do it. The HONI way! But, while that might be one way it’s not the only way. Think outside of the box. God did when He created you and me. When he speaks to us, it’s in all kinds of ways at various times, right?

Just think, maybe some of us need to just think about a different posture when we pray. Let’s look at some of them in Scripture.

*Kneeling Psalms 95:6-7
*Prostrate praying Nehemiah 8:5-6
*Standing Nehemiah 8:5-6
*Praying with uplifted hands Psalms 141:2, Nehemiah 8:5-6
*Laying on of hands Luke 4:40

*Anointing with Oil James 5:13-15

You see what I mean! God is a God of creativity and He is no different in how He hears our prayers.
