oasis leadership institute
In partnership with the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS), Oasis Church is offering a Biblical Teaching Certificate program that is designed to provide church leaders and surrounding teams with supplemental training in biblical interpretation and instruction. The objective of the program is to foster personal growth and development and encourage students to foster growth and development in others.
The program is an 8-credit hour course accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and transferrable to eligible programs at NOBTS or other institutions willing to accept transfer credits (please check with the institution to which you are applying). Students must complete the entire program to receive credits.
Who Should Apply
The program is available to church leaders, ministry leaders, and anyone, regardless of educational background, who has a desire to grow in Biblical Ministry.
Entrance Requirements
Students must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED. Proof of nationality must be provided. Classes are open to non-permanent residents however they are ineligible for credits. Applicants must submit a completed registration form and application form to be considered for this program.
Cost
Each course is $180 ($55 Registration fee, plus $125 tuition cost). This fee does not cover the cost of any books required. There is also a onetime application fee of $25.

BIUS1151: INTRODUCTION TO NEW TESTAMENT STUDIES: THE LIFE OF CHRIST
This course is designed to provide a survey of the life of Christ.
BIUS1111: INTRODUCTION TO OLD TESTAMENT STUDIES: THE HISTORICAL BOOKS
This course is designed to provide a survey of Genesis through 2 Chronicles. The study consists of a brief overview of each book, including pertinent geographical and historical information.
BIUS1113: INTRODUCTION TO OLD TESTAMENT STUDIES: THE PROPHETS
This course is designed to provide a survey of Isaiah through Malachi. The study consists of a brief overview of each book, including pertinent geographical and historical information.
BIUS1112: INTRODUCTION TO OLD TESTAMENT STUDIES: THE WRITINGS
This course is designed to provide a survey of Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Ruth, and Esther. The study consists of a brief overview of each book, including pertinent geographical and historical information.

This course is designed to acquaint the student with pertinent background information and a verse-by-verse interpretation of selected books: Mark, Galatians, John, Hebrews, Acts 1, John, Romans, Revelation

This course is designed to acquaint the student with pertinent background information and a verse-by-verse interpretation of selected books: Genesis, Amos, Joshua, Jonah, Job, Malachi, Psalms, Isaiah
